Preparing Federal IT for a Zero Trust Architecture

In order to help agencies and industry partners respond to the challenge of adopting a Zero Trust model, V3Gate, in partnership with identity management provider Okta and the Advanced Technology Academic Research Center (ATARC), put together a roundtable panel of distinguished participants from both federal agencies and industry to share best practices and chart a path forward. Participants discussed the components of Zero Trust, debated the continued relevance of firewalls, emphasized the importance of “knowing thy network,” and spoke about the need to overcome cultural barriers to change.

Identity Management at Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services

V3Gate teamed with leading Identity and Access Management as a Service (IDaaS) provider Okta to modernize identity management architecture for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The Okta Identity Cloud will improve the user experience for healthcare providers, modernize CMS's back-end systems, and make the agency's infrastructure more agile, even as the number of agency constituents and the frequency of authentications continue to increase. The Okta solution will relieve major CMS pain points by integrating with its existing Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) identity and access control system, greatly improving the end-user experience and security.

Identity Management at

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs

The Department of Veterans Affairs selected V3Gate as its trusted partner to lead the roll-out of 21,000 eTokens to 220 VA locations across the country. The eTokens are used to enhance security at VA hospitals by employing improved two-factor authentication. V3Gate successfully managed the sourcing and logistics and ensured that all the eTokens were shipped and received on time to all 220 locations. Throughout the project, the V3Gate team diligently responded to Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) requests and other customer service inquiries. This project demonstrates V3Gate thorough, meticulous, and high-quality approach to shipping, logistics, and customer service.
